US October epoxy resin contracts settle higher on supply, feedstock costs

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Tighter supply along the value chain and higher feedstock costs led to US epoxy resin contracts being assessed higher for October. The US October liquid epoxy resin contract price was assessed on Tuesday at $1.23-1.28/lb DEL (delivered) North America, an increase of 4 cents/lb ($88/tonne) from September. Sources said price increases of 3-5 cents/lb had been accepted in the market this month. US producers Hexion and Olin had separately nominated 5 cent/lb increases for October.
