China’s acetic acid average plant operating rate drops to 75%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--The average operating rate of acetic acid units in China fell to 75% in the week ended 10 November from 91% a week earlier, ICIS data showed on Monday. The average run rate was weighed by Celanese’s shutdown of its acetic acid plants with a total of 1.2m tonnes/year of capacity during the week, the data showed.
