Philippines' JG Summit to build 250,000 tonne/year PE plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--JG Summit Petrochemicals is planning to build a 250,000 tonne/year bimodal polyethylene (PE) plant as part of a plan to expand its integrated petrochemical complex in Batangas, a company source said on Wednesday. The company will also increase its existing polypropylene (PP) nameplate capacity by 100,000 tonnes/year from 190,000 tonnes/year currently, the source said.
