LONDON (ICIS)--Global sulphuric acid supply shortages continue to drive price spikes, with spot prices in Brazil and India both rising significantly this week. Supply in Asia was already tight before a force majeure at Glencore’s PASAR copper smelter, which is estimated to produce around 600,000 tonnes of sulphuric acid per year, added further availability pressures.
