China sulphur inventories continue to rise amid weak demand

LONDON (ICIS)--Major port sulphur inventory levels in China saw a fourth consecutive week-on-week rise, increasing by 12,000 tonnes this week, sources confirmed on Thursday. This represents a just under 1% increase week-on-week, standing at 1.378 million tonnes.Rising inventory levels come amid continued falls in China domestic prices, which dropped by China yuan (CNY) 20-25/tonne this week to CNY830-835/tonne, and ongoing downward pressure on import prices because of weak demand and increasing supply.
