HOUSTON (ICIS)--The natural soda ash market in the US is seeking to maintain its competitiveness relative to the Chinese synthetic soda ash industry, the main global competitor for US soda ash. Downstream, about 50% of soda ash goes into glass-making production, which is utilised in the automotive industry and building trades in the US and exported globally.
