US Air Products signs $3.5bn deal with China's Yuankuang for coal-to-syngas facility

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Air Products has signed an agreement with Chinese state-owned Yankuang Group for a new $3.5bn a coal-to-syngas production facility to be built at Yulin City in China’s Shaanxi province, the US-based industrial gases firm said on Thursday. Under the deal, Air Products and Shaanxi Future Energy Group Co (SFEC), a subsidiary of Yankuang Group, plan to form an Air Products majority-controlled joint venture (JV) company, it said in statement.
