Belgium's Solvay building new sulfone polymer unit in India

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Solvay is building a new sulfone polymer plant in Panoli, India, amid high demand growth from the medical and water treatment industries, the Belgian specialty chemicals maker said on Thursday. Construction of the new unit, which will be dedicated to polyethersulfone (PESU) production, is underway and production should reach full capacity in mid-2019, the company said in a statement.
