Europe methylene chloride spot up in few cases, but confirmation thin

LONDON (ICIS)--There continue to besigns of a firmer sentiment in the European methylene chloride domestic spot and export markets this week for cost and supplyrelated reasons, but confirmation of the upward tendency in the wider market remains thin, market players said on Tuesday. Price rises of ?20-40/tonne were mentioned in certain parts of mainland Europe such as Spain and eastern Europe, but with any price increases in Spain included within the MED range, albeit at the upper-end. The range in the Mediterranean remains at ?480- 550/tonne FD (free delivered) this week, pending further market feedback.
