LONDON (ICIS)--China-headquartered state chemicals giant Sinochem has denied plans to bid for a $4bn stake in Chilean muriate of potash (MOP) producer SQM, according to media reports on Tuesday. 'Up until now, neither Sinochem Group nor our subsidiaries have had such intentions or plans,' the company said in response to a request for comment from Reuters. ICIS detailed media reports on Monday that Sinochem had expressed interest in the stake, which is being offered by Canada’s PotashCorp (PCS).
