German potash major K+S shortens planned outage, slashes negative earnings effect

LONDON (ICIS)--German fertilizer major K+S has slashed the duration of a planned production stoppage at three muriate of potash (MOP) plants on the River Werra, after heavy rainfall raised water levels; easing pressure on the company's wastewater disposal needs. The sulphate of potash (SOP) producer expects the plants to be offline from 24-26 December only; resuming full production at all three sites from 27 December.
