LONDON (ICIS)--European ethylene spot prices are under downwards price pressure as supply length is building ahead of the start of the autumn cracker planned turnaround slate, sources said on Friday. Unexpected derivative issues last month had added to the preparations that had been made in advance of the maintenance outages, leaving inventories fuller than expected and some players no choice but to push back on volumes.
