Turkish PE players step back and wait as Lira strengthens

LONDON (ICIS)--Turkish polyethylene (PE) prices are stable this week following a positive performance of the Turkish lira (TL) in value against the US dollar. From a low of TL6.40 to the dollar, the lira has strengthened to TL5.65 to the dollar as of Friday*. This has been prompted by the release of the American pastor, Andrew Brunson, who had been held in Turkey following allegations of links to various political groups.
