Turkey PP prices reverse softer trend amid uncertain conditions

LONDON (ICIS)--A reversal of trends occurred in the Turkish polypropylene (PP) raffia market in which firmer prices were heard amid uncertain conditions. The unsettled nature of the market is set to continue following an early election call by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. However, the new June 2018 date of the election comes much earlier than the originally scheduled November 2019 commitment and consequently indicates that conditions may stabilise sooner than previously expected.
