Italy's Eni Q1 chemicals operating profit falls 52%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Eni’s chemical business posted a 52% year-on-year decline in its first- quarter adjusted operating profit to ?59m amid a drop in sales volumes, the Italian energy firm said on Friday. Sales of petrochemicals fell by 1.1% year on year to 981,000 tonnes in the first quarter, the company said in a statement.
