US Praxair starts up air-separation units at China chem park

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Praxair has started up two 2,400 tonne/day air separation units in the chemical industrial park of Guangdong, southern China as part of its agreement with energy major China National Offshore Oil Co (CNOOC), the US industrial gases major said on Monday. The two plants are supplying on-site oxygen and nitrogen to CNOOC for the company’s refinery expansion and downstream chemical production.
