South Korea and Japan sulphuric acid export prices rise on strong demand

LONDON (ICIS)--South Korea and Japan sulphuric acid import prices have risen 9-10% (or $5/tonne) week on week, amid unseasonably strong demand and tight global supply. Amid the shortages, non-traditional exporters across Asia have begun to offer material to the international market. This includes some traditional buyers with excess contract material that have begun to offer spot tonnes because of attractive margins and some players that traditionally serve domestic markets.
