PPG Q2 net income down 25% on one-off payments

LONDON (ICIS)--PPG's second-quarter net income fell 25% year on year to $371m on the back of several one-off payments, the US paints and coatings major said on Thursday. Sales rose during the quarter by 8.6% year on year to $4.13bn. Excluding extraordinary payments, the company said second-quarter net income would have stood at $468m, practically flat year on year.
