China LLDPE gains on tight supply, strong futures market

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s spot domestic prices for linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) have been rising on the back of tight supply and gains in the futures market, industry sources said. On 7 May, domestic prices in east China rose to yuan (CNY) 9,775/tonne ($1,537/tonne), up by CNY25/tonne from 4 May, according to ICIS data. Prices have steadily risen from 25 April, posting a 2.4% gain, according to ICIS data.
