LONDON (ICIS)--Pakistan's government has announced a uniform general sales tax (GST) on all fertilizers at 2% compared to an earlier rate of 5% for urea and 9-11% on other fertilizers, according to several market sources on Tuesday. Last year, the government had reduced GST to 5-11% from 17%, and offered a subsidy of $450m for the sector. It has now cut GST further and understood to have removed the subsidy amount.
