LONDON (ICIS)--Further production problems have hit the European nylon 6,6 market this week which will likely deteriorate availability for June and put even greater upward pressure on prices, sources said on Tuesday. BASF’s nylon and nylon intermediates production faced supply constraints following an electrical failure at the Seal Sands, UK site which is host to BASF’s upstream hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) plant.
