China Hengli Petrochemical to start up 20m tonne/year refinery

SINGAPORE (ICIS)-China's Hengli Petrochemical will commission a new 20m tonne/year (400,000 bbl/day) refinery at Changxing island in Dalian of Liaoning province on 15 December, the company said in a statement on Thursday. The refinery, together with its affiliated units, can annually produce 9.92m tonnes of transportation fuels inclusive of gasoline, diesel and kerosene; 1.62m tonnes of naphtha and 970,000 tonnes of benzene; and 640,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
