SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China said on Tuesday it is willing to hold talks with the US to resolve anescalating showdown on trade but not while Washington holds a knife to Beijing's throat.'When could the two countries resume high-level discussion will be totally decided by US side’swillingness', vice commerce minister Wang Shouwen told a news conference.'China is always open to resolve disputes through negotiations and consultations. To achieveresults, talks should be held on the condition of equal treatment and mutual respect… We can’ttalk when a knife is on our throat,' Wang said.
