Mitsui Chemicals to expand Singapore elastomers capacity by 12.5%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Mitsui Chemicals plans a 25,000 tonne/year capacity expansion at its elastomers production on Jurong Island in Singapore, the Japanese producer said on Friday. The expansion, which will raise the company’s capacity for TAFMER high-performance elastomers by 12.5% to 225,000 tonnes/year, is expected to be completed by July 2020, the company said in a statement.
