SINGAPORE (ICIS)--A consortium led by US investment firm KKR will acquire Taiwan’s LCY Chemical Corp for New Taiwan dollar (NT$) 47.8bn ($1.56bn) in cash. The KKR-led group will take over all of LCY’s shares for NT$56 each, a 17.3% premium to LCY’s closing price on 20 July, the companies said in a joint statement issued on Sunday. After the transaction, LCY, which produces thermoplastic elastomers and performance plastics, will be delisted from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, it added.
