COLORADO SPRINGS (ICIS)--The increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in manufacturing will simplify and localise supply chains, including for chemicals, an Accenture consultant said on Monday. The use of AI can enable manufacturing to take place closer to the consumer rather than in low-labour cost regions, allowing for the local supply of raw materials, said Paul Bjacek, principal director and global resources research lead at Accenture.
