HOUSTON(ICIS)-Spot prices for all grades of plasticizers were assessed lower following declines in feedstock prices and based on market input.Supply of dioctyl phthalate(DOP)and dioctyl terephthalate(DOTP)is ample amid weaker demand due to the usual winter slowdown.Diisononyl phthalate(DINP)supply has improved as well after production issues in Europe have been mostly resolved,leading to increased imports.

7. Commodity prices have risen sharply since 2006. This may benefit developing countries specialized on primary exports, but poverty may increase. Uruguay is a net exporter of primary products and a net importer of oil.
