Japan’s KH Neochem cancels plasticizers alcohol project in Taiwan

LONDON (ICIS)--The board of KH Neochem has decided to cancel a planned plasticizers alcohol project in Taiwan and to dissolve an associated joint venture, the Japan-based producer said in a statement released late on Monday. The reasons for the move include expected large project cost overruns due to high engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) cost quotations, as well as delays due to an unexpectedly long process to obtain required permits.
