TORONTO (ICIS)--Canada’s economy added 63,000 jobs in September, up 0.3% from August, driven by increased part-time employment, federal agency Statistics Canada said in a data release on Friday. The unemployment rate declined 0.1 percentage points from August to 5.9% in September. In construction, employment rose by 28,000 or 2.0% to 1.447m in September, offsetting declines in the previous two months.
