LONDON (ICIS)--INEOS on Tuesday lost its challenge against the Scottish government on a supposed prohibition on shale gas fracturing in the UK country as the Court of Session determined that no legal ban has been instated. 'There is no prohibition against fracking, [INEOS]’ case is unfounded, [and] their application for judicial review of the alleged ban must accordingly fail' said Paul Cullen, former solicitor general for Scotland and current holder of the judicial title Lord Pentland, in a court opinion published on Tuesday.
