INSIGHT: UK chemicals could face WTO tariffs post-Brexit

BARCELONA (ICIS)--If a newly-elected UK parliament approves Boris Johnson's Brexit deal, the UK chemical sector and its trading partners could still face disruption in December 2020 if no UK-EU trade deal is agreed by then. Under Boris Johnson's Brexit withdrawal agreement, the country will exit the EU on 31 January 2020 with a “business as usual” transition period until December 31, 2020.
