US cumene prices face pressure from higher costs, refinery closure

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US July cumene contract prices have come under pressure following an increase for upstream July benzene contracts.June cumene prices were assessed at 30-31 cents/lb ($656-678/tonne). Upstream refinery-grade propylene (RGP) prices also rose slightly in early July to the mid-20s cents/lb, up from below 20 cents/lb in late June.
