INTERACTIVE: US oil rig count rises for second straight week

HOUSTON(ICIS)--US drillers added to the number of operating oil rigs this week,following last week’s double-digit increase,oilfield services firm Baker Hughes said in a Friday report.Despite the two-week increase,the US oil rig count remains 6.2% below the last week of 2018 and has fallen in 10 of the first 15 weeks of 2019.US crude oil production established record highs in 2018 but slowed in Q1 2019 as independent drillers committed to cut spending on expectations of lower futures.
