US Dow to sell acetone-derivatives business to Altivia

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Dow has agreed to sell its acetone-derivatives business to Altivia, the US-based producer said on Tuesday. Dow did not specify the value of the deal. It should close by the end of the year. The sale will include units at Dow's complex in Institute, West Virginia as well as site infrastructure, land and utilities. Dow will remain a tenant of the site and it will keep some of the manufacturing assets at Institute.
