BASF, Lutianhua to develop pilot energy-efficient DME plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Germany’s BASF and China’s Sichuan Lutianhua have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop a pilot plant that will produce dimethyl ether (DME) from synthesis gas (syngas). Company sources said that the new plant will be built in China but the specific location has yet to be finalized.
