APIC ’19: China's Qingdao Haiwan to start up second vinyls complex in 2020

TAIPEI (ICIS)--China’s Qingdao Haiwan Chemical is on track to start up its second vinyls complex in the second quarter of 2020, according to a source close to the company. The company, which is based in Shandong province, will increase polyvinyl chloride (PVC) capacity to 800,000 tonnes/year from the current level of 300,000 tonnes/year, the source said on the sidelines of the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC) 2019, which is being held in Taipei on 16-17 May.
