BP to invest $100m in greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects

LONDON (ICIS)--BP announced on Tuesday that it has established a $100m fund for projects that will deliver new greenhouse gas emissions reductions in its upstream oil and gas operations. The Upstream Carbon Fund will support BP’s aims to achieve 3.5m tonnes of sustainable greenhouse gas emissions reductions across the BP Group from 2016 to 2025, as well as its target of 0.2% methane intensity.
