Mexico Kuo '15 synthetic rubber sales drop 23%

MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--Mexico-based chemical, automotive and food conglomerate Grupo Kuo on Wednesday said revenues in its synthetic rubber business last year totalled $326m, down by about 23% from $423m in 2014. Kuo attributed the result to a 20% drop in average selling prices fuelled by a 43% year over year decrease in prices for butadiene (BD), which subsidiaries INSA and Dynasol use to make styrene butadiene rubber (SBR).
