Asia acrylates buoyed up by open arbitrage window, short supply

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asian acrylic acid and acrylate ester prices have remained high, supported by continued short supply in China and an open arbitrage window from Asia to Europe, market sources said Wednesday. Deals for glacial acrylic acid were heard done at the $1,100-1,130/tonne CIF (cost, insurance and freight) SE (southeast) Asia levels, while butyl-acrylate was transacted at $1,100-1,150/tonne CIF SE Asia for butyl-acrylate in southeast Asia, they said.
