South Korea’s KMCI cuts run rates at MDI plant on technical woes

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Kumho Mitsui Chemicals’ (KMCI) 200,000 tonnes/year methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) unit in Yeosu is running at lower operating rates due to some technical reasons, a company source said on Friday. Since 6 April the operating rate had been brought to about below 70% of its nameplate capacity, the source added.
