Shell seeks shippers for planned US Marcellus ethane pipeline

LONDON (ICIS)--Shell has launched an open season for shipper commitments on a planned 94-mile common carrier ethane supply pipeline from southwestern Pennsylvania to West Virginia and Ohio, the international energy and petrochemicals major confirmed on Tuesday. The proposed Falcon Ethane Pipeline System will connect major ethane source points within the Marcellus and Utica shale gas reservoirs to Monaca, Pennsylvania, where Shell plans to build a world-scale integrated petrochemicals complex.
