China’s Sinopec to raise November base oil output by 7%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec plans to produce about 75,000 tonnes of base oil in November, an increase of about 7% from the previous month, a company source said on Tuesday. The increase is largely due to the scheduled restart of Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical’s 300,000 tonne/year Group II base oil unit early this month, the source said. The unit was taken off line for maintenance from the first half of October.
