Russian ferts firm Acron posts strong start to 2016 on output hike

LONDON (ICIS)--Russian fertilizer major Acron Group on Monday posted a 29% yearon-year jump in first half net profit as the manufacturer benefited from plant upgrades and expansions that boosted output of its nitrogen product portfolio. The Moscow-registered company said its net earnings for January-June of Russian roubles (Rb) 10.56bn (?142m) were based on a strong performance from its main commercial products like ammonium nitrate (AN) and urea.
