MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--Electronic cigarettes will now be regulated the same way as tobacco cigarettes, according to a new US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rule issued on Thursday, which also bans their sale to children. The new regulations would require producers of cigars and e-cigarettes to register with the FDA, provide the agency with a detailed accounting of their products’ ingredients, and disclose their manufacturing processes and scientific data.
