Ningbo PX, PTA plants to shut during China G20 summit in September

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petrochemical plants in the fibre intermediates chain at Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang province will have to shut down during the G20 summit in the country, according to the industrial hub’s environmental protection bureau. Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) producers Yisheng Petrochemical, Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp (FCFC) Ningbo and Ningbo Mitsubishi Chemical (NMC) were included in the list of producers that must shut operations at their facilities.
