World Bank's IFC to invest $25m in Egypt's Carbon Holdings

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--International Finance Corp will invest $25m in Egypt’s industrial group Carbon Holdings, the World Bank’s private-sector investment arm said on Monday. Carbon Holdings is developing a $6.9bn Tahrir petrochemical project in Ain Sokhna, that is expected to have the biggest naphtha cracker in the world, with an ethylene capacity of 1.5m tonnes/year.
