China’s Zhejiang Weitai to shut SBR plant in late Jan on weak demand

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Weitai Rubber will shut its 100,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in late January ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays amid weak market conditions, market sources said on Tuesday. The plant, located in Zhejiang province is expected to be shut from 23 January until 19 February, longer than the usual one-week Lunar New Year holiday, because of the prevailing weak market conditions, market sources said.
