Superficial viscosity as one of the evaluation factors for the diffusive superficial layers properties

摘要

Viscosity of superficial layers defined as least deformation leading to cracking at bending test is proposed to use as feature of superficial layers having more hardness than base material. Superficial viscosity depends on layers types, their structure, thickness and technological process parameters. Connection between superficial viscosity of diffusive layers and other mechanical features of specimens and machines parts exists but it's not unique. Examples of this method application for surfaces quality correlation at different technological operations are given.
