THE MORPHOLOGICAL AND ANATOMICALPROPERTIES OF TWO ENDEMIC ONOSMA SPECIES(0. INTERTEXTUM AND 0. SIEHEANUM)

The morphological and anatomical properties of Onosma intertextum Hub.-Mor. and 0.sieheanum Hayek were investigated. 0. intertextum and 0. sieheanum are endemic species.Both of examined taxa had secondary root structure and xylem composed of scleren-chymatic cells and tracheary elements. Crystals are seen in the stem and leaf of both species.Studied Onosma species have equifacial type. Stomata are anisocytic and anomocytic. Thesespecies have eglandular trichomes and glandular trichomes. Eglandular trichomes areporrect-stellate and simple trichomes. Stomata index is 28 for the upper epidermis and29.41 for the lower epidermis of 0. intertextum. Stomata index is 17.39 for the upper epider-mis and 23.07 for the lower epidermis of 0. sieheanum. Stomata index is 28 for the upper epi-dermis and 29.41 for the lower epidermis of 0. intertextum.
