AN EFFECTIVE METHOD OF FIELD NURSERY INOCULATION OF TOBACCO WITH GLOMUS AGGREGATUM

摘要

A high yielding chewing tobacco variety VR2 local and arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungus,Glomus aggregatum was used in this experiment. AM inoculation was carried out effectivelyunder nursery field conditions and was found highly beneficial for raising large number ofhealthy tobacco seedlings without much mortality. It is clear that the method of inoculationcarried out under nursery conditions can become an effective way of AM inoculation for tobacco.
